Laurel Caverns
Description
Located east of Uniontown, this 435-acre geological park features Pennsylvania's largest cave. Guided tours leave about every 20 minutes and last about 55 minutes. Group caving tours are available. Laurel Caverns is open seven days a week, from May through October but only on Saturdays and Sundays during March, April and November.
Nice cave experience with the kids. I didn't take advantage of the private touring, but the general public one was nice. Kids enjoyed it and so did we.
We had a fantastic tour guide that brought us deep into the caverns...it was great because each participant decided the level of difficulty. I highly recommend this for those who want to try spelunking. Those who don't want to venture into the undeveloped section can easily enjoy the developed section. I am planning another trip this weekend with a larger group and hope to go back many times!
