Inspired, Yet Ephemeral

The beautiful watercolor paintings of Marion Moir depict the wide variety of her experiences, from growing up in the very rural Shasta County, California, to travels in Asia and, most of all, the influences of her life near the seaside. With a sensitive touch, Marion manipulates the paints to bring images to life, allowing the gossamer threads of paint to course through and around images, creating the lines on a cowboy's face, or the magnificent colors of sea birds that are unique and absolutely memorable. Owning one of Marion's paintings is like capturing an exhilarating experience that you can come back to again and again and still see things you hadn't found before.
