River Valley Community Church, Grants Pass

The output from this church is horrendous!! Actions coated in self serving motives that display pitiful pious ambitions to uphold image amongst one another. Gossip runs rampant and the young ladies lead the charge, all the while leading on other things. It just makes me sick, it is a clever business in the heart of downtown and that is all it is. A self glorifying sunday social club, don't forget to pay your dues! I feel sorry for the people behind the doors here wasting away on a Sunday morning. It is no wonder their young flock strays upon exit, all the while waiting for a proverbial bible bashing to be slammed upside their face and psyche for letting down their number counting leaders. Just don't become another number, find God for yourself, and not for anyone here, or to merely uphold an image.

I love Jesus with all my heart, and want to spread the gospel to everyone, and for everyone to find a church that fits their needs. However, River Valley was not that church for me. I felt there was WAY to much gossip in the church, and it was very distracting from the teaching of God. I was very dissappointed because of it. Once something happened in anothers life, not only did everyone else in the church find out, but with out lookig into the situation, they spread the gossip like wildfire, making people feel hurt and akward. I know so many people who greatly enjoy River Valley. It is not at all ALL bad. The worship music is great, along with the children programs it has to offer.

River Valley Church just had a womens retreat May 13th and 14th at the running Y ranch in Kalamath Oregon. It was awsome. I asked my friends what they thought and it rated a ll on a scale of 1 to 10 with everyone. The staff they had was the most loving group of women I have ever met. They were there to greet us before we even got out of the car. Then we got inside and they had "hand made" gift bags for us filled with fruit, water, journals, bracelets and pins etc. It was such a surprise. The retreat was called every women loved and let me tell you, you felt the love from everyone there. The speakers were wonderful. I don't think there was a dry eye in that place before we left. God was there and it was incredible. I can not wait for next years retreat. My name will be the first one on the list. Laura Grants Pass, Oregon

Great location, upbeat music, wonderful fellowship, insightful teaching, coffee, smiles, atmosphere, child care, small groups, ministry opportunities... The list goes on.
