They yelled at me! Dreadful customer service
By helen, 08/27/09
Like an earlier reviewer, we had an awful experience with their front office. We paid for a dune buggy ride for our family over the phone and were told to be there by 11am. We arrived - or so we thought - at 9.50, but at 11.25 found out that we were at the wrong place! (We were at the very nice Sandrail down the road). We didn't make it to Sandland Adventures in time. They were completely unsympathetic and told me that 'that's what a reservation is' and said our family could go at a different time 'if I paid again'. They actually yelled at me in front of other customers! We went to Sandrail instead. They were wonderfully friendly and actually apologized to us for not working out we were at the wrong place and calling Sandland for us! Go there instead. Nice over nasty :-)

A must for anyone do
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/13/09
The 35 person dune buggy for 12 bucks is one of the best values my family and I have ever had on a trip. 15 of us at our family reunion took the 1 hour tour and were blown, I mean blow away. It does not go over 15mph even on the highway to get to the entrance to the park. We had three children from 3-5 and there was a 92 year old guy sitting in the back as well(not realated). The driver/guide was great and the terrain was something one would never expect in the USA. The dunes are out of this world and you cannot imagine how high they, not too mention steep. I have been on some of the bigest roller coasters and ski in the steeps in the winter but coming the down the pitch of a 200ft dune at a crawl might have been the most exhilerating experience I have ever had. I was steep, to the point of, someone saying, "We are actually going down this." Make reservations as they have two buggys and they will be full all day long. Florence, Oregon is beautiful and my family will be back for many years to come.

What an exciting day!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/09
This was the second time I have been on a SandLand dune buggy ride and it was my boyfriends first time. We both had a blast. Office staff were friendly and very helpful with directions. The driver was very entertaining. Or buggy broke down on Center, the highest hill in the dunes, but they sent another buggy right on out, switched us safely over to the new one and continued our ride. They also made sure that we got our full one hours' worth. It was great. We are bringing our friends next time. :-)

Very unfriendly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/09/07
The people who manage sandland adventures (a lady and her mother) are extremely unfriendly. When there is not too much crowd they dont run many vehicles. Can you imagine they recommended the roller coaster ride (30 min) for my 2 year old!! And when We did not want to do it later they refuse refunds!! Basically not a friendly attitute. The driver of the ride was very proffessional though.

See you soon!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/20/05
We loved the dune buggy ride. The driver was very informative about the landscape. Was a little disappointed with the mini-golf course. Has a tendancy to get a bit crowded. Felt like we had to rush through. Go-karts and bumper boats were fun.
