King Estate, Eugene

Recently I had my 2nd visit to King Estate. The view is spectacular, the food is exceptional, and we found the service exceptional as well! On both visits to the Winery I took friends from out of state. They fell in love with the magnificent view and surroundings. I am not a wine connoisseur, but I love their wine and can’t wait for my next visit to King Estate!

I took my brother from North Carolina to visit the King Estate. He is a wine connoisseur and loved the place. He ordered a few cases. I am not refined in wine tasting and initially felt a bit uneasy. Yet, they helped me feel at home right away. The estate is close to Eugene and the setting is magical. It is a must see.

Yes, the setting is beautiful & the wine is good. When told by the 20-ish female greeter(who at first tried to wait on people who arrived 5 minutes after we did) that it would be a 10 minute wait for 2 of us to be seated for lunch, we put our name down. Twenty minutes(and a purchased glass of wine)later we were told nothing was open yet. Twenty-five minutes(and another purchased glass of wine) later we were told it "shouldn't be long". Fifteen minutes after that(and still nothing) I was told "people just aren't leaving". The setting was beautiful and the wine was good, but the place seems like it's run by 18-22 year olds who have no clue. When people are done eating they should be asked to continue their drinking at the many benches provided so the tables are freed up. This is the responsibility of the staff. Too many other nice wineries in the area to get stuck here.
