We were told by the Lane County Circuit Court that Willamette Stationers carried the legal form we needed to file. At the store, the clerk would not let us view the forms (they were in an envelope locked in a file drawer - she had to get it for us) because she did not want us "to paw through them" - her exact quote! I asked if she'd 'handle' them herself so we could see what we were buying. (by the way it was a total of 6 pieces of paper, $12.50). She gave me a disgusted look and showed me the first page. We needed this form and were stuck buying them there as they weren't available at other stationery stores we had checked. Rude, terrible service - never go there again!
You know, I understand that using a debit card to pay does cost the small business money and on small purchases it hurts, but being snarky, rude and condescending because someone doesn't have cash in this day and age is a sure fire way to make people never ever come back. Especially when I, the customer, apologized for using my debit card because it was an unexpected purchase (the post office didn't have the envelopes) and as such I wasn't expecting to need cash. Being angry for the way a customer pays is ridiculous.
Susan the manager likes scrapbooking so she has collected a great group of paper craft items in the store. She also teaches classes and brings in great teachers, too.
This store is a locally owned business and has a personalized, more old-fashioned feel. Even though they aren't huge, they can get anything you need -- office supplies, gifts, furniture
Don't let the store name fool you. The scrapbooking and paper-crafts classes taught here are top-notch. Always fun, creative and well taught. They are up on the latest techniques and offer classes and demos to keep their customers up to date, with personalized service. Everyone is helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.
