On Saturday April 12th,08 two friends and I
decided to stop in for dinner, we waited 30 minutes before the chips and salsa were served and I had to request that from the busboy, when our 18 dollar combo platter was brought out and a ten dollar burrito we were left without silverware, once again the busboy had to be located. The portions of food on the combo platter were small, not worth the 18 dollars. We will not be dining at this restaurant again.
This place has very expensive food for what you get. I live in a place that has many Mexican owned restaurants and their food was 10 times better than this. The drinks are also ridiculously priced for the almost no alchohol they had in it.
The service was very slow even though there was nobody there. Our tortillas were late and we couldn't eat our meals without them as we only received the stuffing for it. Also the bartender was very rude.
We won't be coming back to this place again!
I have come to your restaurant on several occassions. I have lived in Eugene since 1993 and go out to eat quite often. On friday May 13th my girlfriend and I came to eat at your 7th St location. First let me say, your staff and bartender are very nice and pleasant. However, after being seated we ate our way thru a whole basket of chips without waters or silverware and napkins. I can understand if you were busy but it was not very busy. Our drinks took a really long time as well. We had three different servers bringing us things and everything took too long. I asked for bleu Cheese and the server never brought it. When I asked again it must have taken 15 more mins to get it. I have worked in restaurants for 6 years and so I am very forgiving when things take a while when its busy but this was not the case. There was no sense of urgency with your servers. Also, your prices are ridiculous! $10 burritos?! You've got to be kidding me...? I spent $50 on a very mediocore dinner for two and we could have had the same dishes just up the street at the Laughing Planet for $15 with drinks!!
You really need to reevaluate how much you are charging in Eugene. Your prices might work in a big city but people don't have alot of money here and for poor service and mediocore food, I would rethink it.
The last part is, my girlfriend and I had diareah the whole next day to top things off! And it had to have been something at your restaurant because that was the only food we shared all day. Needless to say, we will not be coming back to Taco Loco.
Its important for me to say that everyone was very nice but "nice" doesn't cut it for $50 and diareah.
I would appreciate it if you could pass this on to your management and staff.
We always stop when in town and have no complaints whatsoever.
I only question whether you are still in the same location, as suggested online. The last time we stopped by, there was a sign indicating you were about to move.
Will we find you there when we return to Eugene?
We sincerely hope so, or that you leave directions to your new location.
I really enjoyed everything about this place, the food, the margaritas, the patio. I travel a lot, and like to eat Mexican food. Taco Loco has some of the best Mexican food I have tried any place in the USA. The margaritas are excellent! The tequila selection, the largest I have found anywhere.
