Established in 1985, this restaurant has been voted Best Italian Restaurant by locals. With its warm wood and brick interior, this establishment serves dinner nightly from 5pm on. Don't forget to check out Goomba's, the new lounge and bar at Giuseppe's.
Giuseppe's has been consistently excellent for 2007. Wow. Great food, no matter what I try. Wait staff even gives travelers directions to where they need to go, or recommendations of what to do in town. Landmark building with old brick is great ambiance. White paper covered tables with crayons give everyone, young and old, a way to express their creativity. Not just Italian, as their crab cakes are great. Steak is a little expensive, but everything else is reasonable for fine-dining.
The server did not read the table. The attitude was one of turn them and burn them.
What happened to the professional and friendly service. Our food was over done and
was kept warm under the salamender. Fett was like rubber, as was the scampi. Have eaten here and love it in the past. What's happening with one of the better ristorantes in Bend????
Well I have lived in Bend my whole life and have given this place a few chances over the years. I always try it with an open mind, but now I will never be back. Bad service and terrible food. The worst Italian food I have ever had. Not to be mean, but it was down right gross, I did not want to eat it. My parents who are not too picky, said it was disgusting and that the service was rude, every time they have been there.
I agree with another rater that the scampi or shrimp pasta dish was unacceptable. The scampi was old and smelled fishy. My wife send it back without eating it. The management still charged for the meal and did not offer anything.
Scampi: tasteless battered deep fat fried shrimp over spaghetti with herbless tomato sauce for $16! Did the shrimp come from the local grocery store's frozen food department?
Veal: served with harsh, commercial tasting beef sauce $18.
There are better Italian restaurants to select from in Bend.
Had the worst customer service-got completely ignored by waitress except to gruffly take our order and give us the check. Will not be going back or reccomending this as a place to eat-overpriced for the quality of the food
