Lower Columbia Bowl, Astoria

The old lady at the counter is needs a lesson in customer service. She is absolutely horrible at dealing with people. The bowling is way over priced $30 dollars for two people and three games. The lanes are terrible due to a malfunctioning computer system. Would not recommend this bowling alley to anyone.

my great grandpa establised this place. he is 92 now and doesn't own it but im sure of u when he owned it' it was in the best shape. i think its a great place to bowl sooooo

We went there on a Monday night and the place was busy. We had to wait for about 10 minutes to get on a lane. The Family had fun. Monday is free popcorn night and we only paid $2.00 per game. Thats cheap entertainment I thought. They have brand new lanes which look really good. The just had the lanes installed a week ago or so. I will definitely go back there! Might even sign up for a summer league. I didn't realize bowling was such a workout! LOL

This was the first and last time I bowl at this establishment. I told the old lady at the counter that this was my first time bowling at these lanes. She told me to push the red button and put my name in. I got to the lane and there was no red button. There was an orange button. The lanes are junky, the front 15' of the lanes need to be refinished. The lanes are all busted up on the front ends. I went up to pay and she told me she had a $10.00 minimum and my fee for bowling was $6.00 considering I brought my own shoes and bowling balls. I told her she should have told me there was a minimum when I showed up. She said they used to have a sign under the counter telling people there was a minimum of $10.00. But the sign wasn't there any longer. She told me to get money from the atm which charged me $2.00 to take out $20.00. Well this was my worst bowling experience in 38 years of bowling. This bowling alley is only good for young children who just start out in bowling. Not a bowling alley for the avid bowler like myself that mantains a 200 plus average. I do not recommend this bowling alley to anyone. They need a change in counter help. Someone that knows how to treat their customers.

so it was fun cept the sour old lady wasnt very nice. my two brothers and i played 3 games after paying 2.50 each for shoes. we do 3 games and go to pay and she tells us itll be 31.50 "WHAT!" 31.50 for 3 games?!?! they charged us 3.50 per person per game! im gonna call em when i get home (i was just there a short while ago) and verify that this is their rate. i have a feeling she overcharged us. i have never payed 40 dollars for 3 games of bowling and i will never go there again.

Took the family bowling had a great time. Had great animated scoring. The kids loved it! No music though, was kinda quiet. Overall great price compared to the portland area. Check it out when you are in Astoria and the weather is not cooperating. You won't be sorry.
