Want to go back!
By ,
Yeah, okay, in retrospect probably hokey, but when I was 10 years old I absolutely loved it! Couldn't figure any of it out at that age, all seemed very real to me. And it's located in a very beautiful spot, so much so that I appreciated that even as a kid. Also very peaceful and quiet. Somehow missed a trip there with our kids, perhaps will have to go with grandkids.

IT IS PROBABLY REAL
By ,
I'm a scientist and SKEPTIC. But this place seems to have an actual anomoly. Many scientists have visited and all left more mystified than when they arrived. They invited me back to bring any instruments I wanted. It's been checked out before and still remains quite a mystery. Take a LONG level if you go and you will be astonished. I'm still amazed at the place. I don't believe in this type of stuff but it sure seems to be REAL! You've got to actually visit to qwell your skepticism somewhat. It's really interesting.

Entertaining BUT DON\"T STAY AT LAZY ACRES!!!!
By ,
We were on our way from BC to visit family in New Mexico and needed to let the kids out for awhile. They loved the Vortex and we saw this place next to the road to stay. A LOT of the RV's here are residents that live there permanentely. We did feel safe in our RV and there were a couple decent residents we met while walking our dog. A majority of the RVs do not even look safe to be on the road, which is not very pleasing to look at. We are taking a different route down 97 this year but thought we would just let people know. Vortex YES, Lazy Acres NO!

WHOA!

The tour guide was awesome, which made the $8 worth it even if it isn't true. However, you can see and feel the effects. kinda spooky, but fun :)

i cant explain it yet.
By ,
yeah they measure everything levels plums metersticks... and last time i was there cameras were allowed, just not videocams for some reason. some effects do seem to be an illusion but supposedly there are no wildlife inside the 'vortex' which also seemed to be true (although maybe for other reasons).

Oregon House of Mystery

Do you think that the reason you can't take a camera is really for copyright issues?
I think that this place is a hoax, but the only reason that it isn't a huge rip-off is because you only have to pay 8 bucks to get into the place.
(by the way, 2 millon $ isn't worth it...)

OR Vortex House

This place is unbeleivable, PERIOD. If you are in the area, don't miss it. It is SPOOKY, but proved to be real. Measurements are shown, plus, YOU feel the effects of the place. You can WATCH people shrink and enlarge before your very eyes. I'm not easily impressed by much of anything, but this impressed me! DON'T MISS IT.....well worth the price of admission.
