Lithia Artisans Market, Ashland

It's a great place to shop and see my neighbors. We bike over and spend an hour, talking to farmers about their produce and getting suggestions on how to prepare a seasonal treat. Then we always have tamales and a soda. Wonderful.

About 40 artists next to Ashland Creek behind the downtown shops. Very high quality art and crafts. You meet the artist. Great little stage with music. Easy access to lunch at one of the many restaurants along the creek. I bought a necklace from a guy who really knew his stuff, great stories, nice exchange. He was part of a jewelry booth called Soul Creations, very well made items, and reasonable prices. Bought some beautiful amber earrings for my wife. If you visit Ashland, you need to check this market out on weekends. Every weekend from May through October.
