This was the first show I've seen at Town and Gown. My daughter had a role in this musical so I really wanted to be there opening night. Aside from the fact that my daughter was brilliant (I'm her Mom, okay?), absolutely top notch directing, orchestra, lighting and props. The "stage" is the center of the theater, so everyone gets a perfect view. Anytime there is a play or musical happening there, run...don't walk to get tickets. "Annie" sold out the first week, and there were very few tickets left for the second week.
Town and Gown is worth following on Facebook, so you can know ahead of time what the shows will be. Kudos.
A very intimate theater. It is theater in the round with not a bad seat in the house. Very good acting for a community theater. A famous past T&G actor is Gary Busey.
Patrons must cross the stage to get to their seats, so once the show starts, people who arrive late must wait until intermission to be seated. So get there early!
Tickets are very reasonable with general admission prices $10 for regular shows and $12 for musicals.
