Eskimo Joe's is fairly famous because of the high volume of t-shirts they sell, but the restaurant itself is lacking. They are generally hyped for their burgers and cheese fries. Neither the burgers nor the cheese fries are anything remotely special. The value is moderate-to-poor, as is the service. On the plus side, it is a venue for live music, which can help the ambience depending on the band. And if you just want to drink a beer, watch a football game, eat run-of-the-mill food, and pay a little bit too much for it, this is the place.
Everyone that works there looks like they are clones of each other and they talk to you like you are 5, they sound like they came directly from the mickey mouse club. The waitresses will examine you and offer you a DIET Coke if they think you should have that. They also check on you every couple of seconds to make sure nothing has changes since two seconds ago. Most people like it there, the atmosphere was great but the people need to change their style. They are sooooooooo annoying. I guess that is to be expected from college kids.
The food is alright, but not for what they're charging you. Going here, you're paying for the name more than anything else. It's hyped up to be a big deal in Oklahoma, T-shirt and everything, but it's nothing more than a hickish sports bar. Don't bother.
The atmosphere is not really unique - just a big mix of random stuff. Kind of like what you see in chain restaurants of late.
I guess Eskimo Joe's was sort of a disappointment because so many people wear the t-shirts, and talk about how great it is, but I found nothing distinctive about the food, service, or atmosphere.
I'm still not sure what all the hype is about....
