Unbelievably kind

In 1991 my family visited my sister in Wichita, KS. On our trip down to the Cowboy Hall of Fame in OKC, I happened to glance up and saw this huge billboard advertising the Lazy E. I looked at my husband and pointed.
"Is that...?"
"Yup."
I asked my sister if we could just drive by it on our way back, to which she graciously agreed.
My husband contested QHs for roughly 40 years. We had watched numerous rodeos on TV from the Lazy E. Seeing it in person was breathtaking. It was even bigger than we had imagined.
There were just a few cars up at the office building so just for the heck of it we stopped by and explained that we were visiting from Ohio and wondered if we could at least drive around the building and see things. Mind you, this was right in the heat (no pun intended) of breeding season. One of the girls volunteered to open up the arena so we could see the inside, too. Standing in the middle of the arena when it was absolutely silent was mind boggling. The girl then took us on a tour and even opened up the gift shop so we could get some items to take back home. After that we were given a tour of the stallion barns and the barn manager brought out several of the studs for us to check out.
The fact that the folks were willing to go so far above and beyond for just some nobodies from back East left me speechless -- and anybody who knows me knows what an uncommon occurrence that is. :) Some girls love diamonds, I love horses. This was the dream of a lifetime come true.
