Blue Bell Creameries, Broken Arrow

They recently donated dixie cups for a local foster family event. They hold annual open houses to the delight of the community. Their ice cream is delicious!

We took our grandsons to visit the Blue Bell Creamery (alias Willie Wonka magic...). The Tour Guide was very friendly, and knowledgeable, and made it enjoyable for the children. The kids (and grandma & grandpa) loved it! It was like magic to watch the Ice Cream elves making and capping all kinds of ice cream treats, seeing how the quality of the ice cream is monitored to ensure freshness, taste, etc. (and they must be doing it right, because Blue Bell is definitely the BEST ice cream ever!) + the retro ice cream parlor, where there are FREE ice cream cups in the flavor of your choice, and there are also treats and gifts for purchase. The kids also received FREE, old-fashioned soda-jerk caps! The only thing they didn't enjoy was the video of the history of the Blue Bell Creameries, and that is because it wasn't really geared to entertain little children. All in all, this tour is definitely worth the time! I will take my other grandchild when she visits from out-of-state.

At the time I went I was homeschooling my son and had a small homeschool group. I believe the tour was $1 per person and that includes a scoop of ice cream at the end. If you still wanted more ice cream after that I believe it was $0.50 each, which is pretty awesome. My son was eight at the time and loved it. So did I.
