RiverScape MetroPark, Dayton

I have to say my love for Dayton Ohio grows every time i am there. We purchased a home about 7 years ago and moved my mother there from California last year and began restoring our 100 year old home by the River! The only relief that we had from working was the awesome concerts, laughter, dancing and food that the Riverscape had to offer!! I love it!

I HAVEN'T BEEN BACK TO RIVERSCAPE SINCE LAST YEAR AND I JUST RECENTLY WENT THIS PAST SATURDAY AND WE HAD A BLAST!! IT WAS SO NICE,BEAUTIFUL,NICE CROWD,GOOD MUSIC AND GREAT WEATHER. I WILL BE SURE TO CHECK OUT MORE THINGS TAKING PLACE THERE...

well I'm going there tomorrow and I have never ever in my life been ice skating before and I was looking this place up every were and I'm excited to go but the one thing that is frustrating(sorry if spelled wrong) me is that I can't find how much the rental skates are!!!

I like it because of the laster lights and its on the river. Good ice skating! And things to do whenever something is going on there...

yOU'VE GOTTA LOVE WHAT HAS BEEN DONE IN DOWNTOWN DAYTON, OHIO. WHEN THE SKATING RINK IS READY, IT'S A REAL BLAST! OUTDOORS, SKATING TO THE MUSIC ALONG THE RIVER.

riverscape is always a good time...from festivals to fireworks to a walk along the river. Anyone who would complain about this would complain about everything! My friends and family have been down there for different events this past summer 4x's. And don't forget to try an incredible icecream cone while your there!

This attempt at building something on the Miami River is a joke. There really is nothing to do. Riverscape becomes a little bit more lively when there is a festival.

Even when Riverscape isn't playing host to a miriad of cultural festivals, our family has always found something to do there. We iceskate in the winter, walk along the river when it floods, sit on the swings, and just watch the river go by. We have even had a snowball fight in the parking area long after the rest of the snow in Dayton has melted (That is where the City Engineers pile the extra). The cultural festivals are great too. We have purchased everything from candle holders from Ireland, to locally made pottery, to an embroidered stole for our priest at those festivals. Riverscape is an important part of Dayton's cityscape.
