Historic Bethabara Park
Description
This 175 acre historic park is dedicated to presenting the history of the religious sect that settled this village in 1753. The Moravians, a German speaking Protestant sect, migrated to North Carolina from Pennsylvania and constructed the village that is the subject of this historical site which features a reconstructed church, many archaeological sites, Colonial gardens, Moravian costumed guides, a reconstructed village, and a visitors center with an introductory video.
Great historical atmosphere, no crowds and a wonderful setting. The guide (Tim?) was great and he added alot of details to the tour. The kids loved the old fort.
