The oldest history museum in North Carolina, this 42,000 square foot museum is filled with interpretive exhibits that depict the history, natural history, and culture of the Lower Cape Fear area. Educational programs are also available.
My family loved it. It was very fun, hands on, and amazing artifacts. I took lots of pictures. I would recommend anyone wanting to go and experience it. The price wasn't bad. I believe it was only $5 a person but I found a coupon in one of the travel coupon books that you can find at any hotels I believe.
This Place really opened my eyes to what I was missing in life. I think this is an experince the whole family can enjoy. Try going in the late summer or early fall, but don't stay inside too long, you must enjoy the beautiful outdoors of North Carolina. When done here, fly to Washington State and visit the east side of the state. It's beautiful in the fall. OH the trees!
