Too pricey for cheese, cheese curds and all cheeses. Won't go back again.

i love the pickled baby corn and the garlic and herb cheese. we own a cabin about ten minutes from the store a we visit every time we are up.

The place is very clean and the owners are extremely friendly and knowledgable about their products. West Jefferson is such a quaint friendly little town and we truly enjoy visiting the cheese shop whenever we can. Very tasty!

We're from Ashe County so going to the cheese plant when we visit home is a must. The cheese curds are our favorites, though all the cheese we've had has been very good. Yay cheese! As a native, I would say that it is a little pricey here, but there are several reasonably priced cheeses and other locally handmade products in the store. It's the only cheese plant in North Carolina, how could you not pick up a little something? Don't forget to go across the street and see them making the cheese. It's remarkable. They only make certain days of the week, so call ahead if this is something you want to do. We now live in California, where the milk processor board's slogan is "Great Cheese Comes From Happy Cows." If this is true, then the cows in NC must be ecstatic.

The cheese is very fresh and tasty. The people that run the shop were kind of rude/distant and didn't look you in the face (but took your money anyways). Not a great experience.
