Pelletier House
Description
Built by Rufus F. Pelletier, this magnificent Greek revival designed home is the oldest standing structure in Jacksonville. The surrounding land, called Wantland Spring, dates back to 1731 and both the house and the land are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Its just a tiny little house. Nothing special to look at, its just old, but its situated right on the water and is a great place to take some pretty photos by the willow trees.
You can look at the building, look inside through the porch window (from outside), sit at the steps of the front or back porch. Basically, it's a tiny historical house with no attendant for viewing (never open for viewing). Takes a few minutes to see. I sat at the back porch to eat lunch.
