Onslow Dr was Great, Stay Away from store on 24

I first went to the store on 24 and found a bedroom set I really liked. Long story short, they wouldn't honor the price they had advertised on their website. They said they would throw in an extra nightstand for the higher price - I tried to negotiate. The saleman went to "ask the boss" who I could hear yelling profanity about ME while I was waiting. They wouldn't budge $10 on the price so I got up and walked out. The next day I went to the store on Onslow Dr and had a GREAT experience. The salesman was fantastic - told it like it was and was no pressure. I walked out of that store with the same bedroom set for $200 LESS than what I would have got it for at the other store. Not to mention, the salesman at Onslow Dr said that they didn't have any extra nightstands to even give me and probably couldn't get one in. I recommend them - just stay away from the store on 24!

Onslow Dr store was great, 24 store was sketchy

I'm giving it 3 stars because the Onslow Dr store was great. We bought furniture for 3 rooms. We worked with a woman, i forgot her name, but she was awesome. Very helpful and friendly. We got good prices. Then we went to Lejeune Blvd store for a mattress about 2 weeks later. It was ok, the man was friendly. But we saw the sofa we got for $1400 for, no kidding, $2400. And it had "Marked Down" tags. This surprised my wife and I. We just chalked it up to being blown up becuase it was so close to base.

decent service

I went to both Lejeune Blvd and Onslow Dr locations and there sales stakk have been pretty friendly. Michael at Lejeune was probably the best as he was willing to be straight ot the point and helped me talk to the finance personell. I like how both locations give you the layaway option and tell you the price with no gimicks. The Onslow drive location never let me talk to anyone about financing=(. I have boughten a couch, mattress and sleigh bed from them. I would be careful as other have noted that some salespeople will try to steal a sale from another salesperson.

Worst Experience Ever

Bottom line: Horrible customer service, sales personnel will lie to you continuously. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. I've lost track of the number of lies that we've been told since ordering our couch and we still don't have the couch we ordered. The salesman even admitted to lying to us. Finally received a call today saying the manufacturer lost the order. I went in and said I wanted a refund. Larry Rose, the owner, ended up cussing me out and told me to get the F*** out of his store. I ordered a couch on Saturday Feb 11, 2012 and was told by Michael Clark, the salesman, it would take 2 weeks for it couch to arrive. I was told the couch wouldn't actually be ordered until Monday, Feb 13, 2012. My wife called on Feb 25th because we hadn't heard anything about the couch being delivered the following week. She was told by the man on the phone that it would be on the truck either Monday or Wednesday. Late Wednesday, we still had not heard from anyone about our couch arriving. Again my wife called to see what was going on with our order. The lady that answered the phone told her she didn't know why we were told it would be there in 2 weeks, special orders can take up to 6 weeks to be delivered. Not once when ordering were we ever told anything other than 2 weeks. The very next day, I went in to talk about the issue we were having with our order. I was told by Michael that he didn't know what the hold-up was on our order and that the lady that could look up orders was out sick and no one else could help locate it for me. My wife called again to see if they had found our couch and was told they were unsure where it was or when it would get to the store. She asked to talk with a manager and was told one wasn't available and that she would receive a call back. I went into the store again on March 7, 2012, demanding that Michael tell me when my couch was or give me a refund. I was told they didn't refund special order. He admitted that he lied to me about the delivery but there was nothing I could do at that point. Dan Palmer (store manager/supervisor?) jumped in and said I just had to wait because special orders could take up to 6 weeks. At this point I was very upset and started yelling at them. They had done nothing but continuously lie to me and string me along. Michael had even admitted to me as much. Michael came back from being on the phone and said the couch had been loaded onto a truck at Albany (couch manufacturer). I demanded they tell me when it would be delivered to the store. They insisted they didn't know. I left the store. We went back to the store the morning of March 10, 2012 to see what they were going to do about the fact that they had lied to us about the expected delivery. Michael and Dan said they had talked to someone higher up about getting us a loaner the day prior. They never bother to call us to let us know about it though. They then said they had to look around to see what they had that they could loan us. They also agreed to waive the delivery fee for both the loaner and the couch we ordered along with giving us $100 off. They tried to get us out of the store before we received a copy of the corrected invoice showing the discount. We insisted we were not going to leave until we had a corrected copy. This had now been an ongoing issue for almost 6 weeks when I returned to the store on March 23, 2012, I went back to the store to see why we had not heard anything back from them about our couch. It had been 2 weeks since the couch was supposedly loaded onto a truck at the manufacturer. Michael told me they had received confirmation that the couch was set to leave on a truck that morning and should be in no later than Tuesday or Wednesday. I said you told me after it didn't show up the first two weeks that it would take 2-6 weeks for special orders. Well I'm at 6 weeks and still no couch. Dan replied that the number 2 never came out of his mouth and that special orders take 6-8 weeks.

Sales People

I do not recommend doing your business here at all. The selection is low and the hospitality is terrible. My mom and I walked in to look around and at first they were friendly and let us look but then one of them decided to come over and ask us what we were looking for, which would have been okay if he hadn't gone all overly sensitive and acted like we were attacking him when we told him again that we were just looking and would like to be left alone and would let them know if and when we needed assistance. I was highly disappointed with this Rose Brothers and will be not going back to this store and will surely not recommend my friends and family to go there. They really need to work on their hospitality skills. Needless to say, now I know why their parking lot stays empty.

beware...I wish I read this before I bought

I bought a bedroom set that I paid too much for according to the post by the former employee and I was promised by Paul Olson the salesman that we would not get the floor model it had some scracthes on the foot board and the mirror was missing a chunk from the top and the scrolling was broken off a bit on head board. It took me 5 years to get the mirror replaced because Jonathan the manager (who said his dad owns the place) would not return my calls and kept giving me the run around as to why it had not been taken care of yet. I bought a very exensive piece and he told me that the manufacturer did not just ship one piece at a time. I finally got it a couple of months ago. My most recent request was to have them take apart the bedroom set because we are moving and we wanted it moved to storage. It took 4 men to bring in the head board. When I spoke to Jonathan he said we simply don't do that, we delivered it to your house we can not go back into your house we may hit a wall or damage an item we can't be liable I asked if he was concerned with that when they delivered it he said certainly. I offered to sign a waiver releasing them of any liability he said they still couldn't. I could not believe how his lack of concern was for a customer when I asked who else I could talk to he said there was no one else, I said you don't own the store who can I talk to he said his dad. I asked if I could expect a call or should I expect the same lack of service he gave me when he tried to replace my mirror he said um.. you can probably expect the same service but I will pass on your concern to him. I told him I could not believe how he was talking he was very condiscending in his tone of his voice and could definetly hear the lack of concern. I couln't even get a courtesey one time exception he said no. I was so upset I called my husband and he went down there to talk to Jonathan and he changed his attitude, he apologized for it and said he must have had a miscommunication he did explain why he couldn't take our furniture apart for the move which we understood, but my husband went there to ask why he felt the need to treat me that way. I guess on the phone a 5 ft over weight man feels like he's 10 feet tall and has limitless powers because daddy owns the place

watch out who you deal with

I was at the Lejeune Blvd location and it's pretty hit or miss on whether you get a good salesman. I have dealt both with Eric Ward and Hector Requelme. Eric was awesome and took the time to explain whatever we had questions about and was generally nice. However, the next time we went back Hector tried to "steal" our sale even though we told him we wanted to work with Eric. Hector was rude to my husband and was dishonest with us (told us way higher prices than Eric did). He was also very condescending and I felt sexually harassed by him.

worst experience eve

ok I baught a mattress 7 months ago I was not happy with it so I tried to return it under there 30 day exchange policy everthing was great until i met LARY ROSE he was the rudist person i have ever had the diplesure to meet everything was great. both sales people Eric and April.but when the owner got involved it quickly became the worst experience ive ever had. I had to tell there secratery to make shure MR ROSE never to contact me again.

The Worst Customer Service Ever!!!\"

I can't believe I purchased anything from this store....never again. I took my niece with me to purchase a recliner chair for her new house and one for my husband. On the way out of the store I noticed a small side table and decided to purchase this too. I was given the last table that was in a box and this left only the floor model. When I got home the table was defective. One leg did not match the table or wood color. On Sunday I went to return the item. I interrupted a salesman (PAUL) who was reading a newspaper and couldn't bother to bring his head up to address me. I waited for him to finish his article. He immediately started to accuse me of not knowing how to put the table together. I had to show him how the table leg did not fit and the color was different. Never speaking he went to the computer and said there are two more in the store and I had to take one of them. I then told him I know I took the last one in a box and informed him that I believed the other two must be floor models. He made me follow him all around the store looking for another one, and reluctantly agreed that I must be right. He then told me he couldn't return my item and I would have to come return on another day to get my refund or new table. I questioned why I couldn't get a return on my credit card this day (this item was less than $100)... Paul started to rudely repeat to me ("I'm not going to discuss this with you maam") He kept repeating this statement over and over. He then became ruder and annoyed when I tried to tell him how I couldn't return right away. It was obvious he had no desire to help me or go through the process of returning this small item. I tried to tell Paul that I would be away for the next 2 weeks and couldn't return immediately. He did not care. He became ruder and wouldn't discuss this or try to help. He eventually picked up the defective leg and pointed to the door while shoving it at me. NEVER ONCE did he apologize for the defective table or for the inconvenience I had to go through. I have never been treated like this or seen customer service like this before. Paul has no customer service approach and has the rudiest attitude that I have ever seen. I can't believe he is a salesman. He even made detrimental remarks about the nice salesman who sold us the chairs originally. Very unprofessional and should be fired. My opinion is this employee reflects the customer service policy of the management and ownership. I will never buy here again and I recommend others to follow. Most important item when purchasing expensive furniture is the service you receive when you run into problems. I received no service, just aggrevation.

I wrote the review below about the pros and cons, I forgot to add one more thing, Michelle is a wonderful sale person and she will definately be the only reason why I go back there to purchase anything again. She isn't just a sales associate she understands the meaning of relating to customers.
