Valley Hills Mall, Hickory

I had a flat tire at the Valley Hills Mall and unfortunately my spare tire was flat as well. I contacted security to make sure it was OK to leave my vehicle parked on-premises until the following business day so I could then fix both my tires. The security officer said OK, that will be fine. I returned the following day to find a notice on my car saying it would be towed. So In went to fix my tire and my tire iron was missing so I once again called security to ask if I could use their tire iron for just a few moments. They said "NO" and when I ask why they said they ndidn't change tires for customers. I said I was aware of that. I wanted to change the tire myself, I just wanted to borrow their tire iron and the security officer said we don't have one and hung up on me. Im sure their 2 security vehicles had tire irons in them and they decided to just lie to me and say they didn't have a tire iron. So not only was my car threatened to be towed after having permission, they also refused to be kind enough to let me borrow their tire iron for just 5 minutes. Before this incident I respected the guys/gals that worked security at the mall and all the hoodlums they had to deal with on a daily basis but my whole outlook has changed. They are nothing but rude careless want-to-be-cops and could care less about the mall patrons. I think the mall manager needs to have a meeting with the security staff and explain to them they're there to serve and assist the mall patrons, not to act like police officers. I also think they should be limited on what "weapons" they can carry on their belts. I see a lawsuit in the works the day these gung ho wanna be cops use these weapons on a mall patron. I hope the mall manager takes notice of these issues and how un-willing these security officers are to provide assistance to mall visitors. I wasn;t asking them to change my tire, I was simply asking to use their tire tool myself.

I avoid malls as much as I can... but this one is diferent. It is quiet, clean, and extremely friendly. Prices are very reasonable in most places. Food court has an aceptable variety of food styles! I recomend this place to anyone. Teens, you wil find what you are loking for and more; parents, this is a family place as well. Security around the parking lots is constant.

Valley Hills Mall is really updated and has a very safe feel to it. There is a specialty store called ZenFire that has exclusive colections of Wizard of Oz and Phantom of the Opera statues and water globes. They also have dragons and fairies, and soy candles, and everything else that me and my friends collect. This mall really has a good mix of stores so you can get everything you need in one shopping trip. The food court has all my favorite choices and a really good chinese place that you would actually go to to take home - it's that good! I would encourage everyone in the area to check out this mall because it really has added a lot of good stores lately.

i loved the valley hills mall. it was so awesome. their hollister was so cool. and it wasnt to dark in there either!! but...my mom and i saw a coc roach in 1 of the restruants.but over all, it was pretty good!!!

you dont have enough plus size stores its like you only go for the small sizes thats not right you need to open at least one more store for only plus size girls/womanyou might get more people to come to the mall you know over 50% of america is over weight like me its hard to find hip cloths when your local mall dosent even really carry them think about it it might just do your mall some good

do not visit this booth in isle saling contracts for suncom. they offer us 2 individual Harrise Teeter gift cards for activating 2 cell phones during the time of the promotion and we bit. we took the cell phones signed up for a 2 yr contract. and was promised when first months bill was paid we would receive the gift cards. when contacting suncom we were told that was a through a independant arthorized suncom dealer and they had nothing to do with thier promotions. and they had never offered such things a gift cards for Harrise teeter. so beware it is a scandal and you are stuck with your end of the bargain in a signed contract.
