Totally Disappointed - Carolina Cookie, Mistake

I placed an order with Carolina Cookie on Thursday 12/ 9/10 & arranged to pickup my order at Carolina Cookie on Tuesday 12/14/20. My order was for 3 packs of one dz. Chocolate Chip, and 3 packs of one dz. Double Chocolate, a total of 6 dozen cookies. Each dozen cookies were individually packaged in white paper bags with gold logo stickers sealing each bag. I picked up the cookies & proceeded to make Holiday Gift Bags for 2 different friends, with a dz. of each variety of cookie, double chocolate & chocolate chip. I kept a dz. of each for myself, because my family enjoys the cookies also, I have ordered from Carolina Cookie numerous times before (I'm a repeat customer). When I got home, I had 2 of the same type of cookie. I then called one of my friends who I had given cookies too and asked if they also had the same type and I was told "yes, the same", the cookies were mislabeled on the bag. I called Carolina Cookie & was told I should have received the correct order, & I commented I agree. I was also told I should bring the cookies back to be corrected for mistake, and I told them I gave the other two orders away as gifts and could not go back to friends home to reclaim gifts. I then called the owner of the company Mr. Gary Smith and explained the situation of what had happened and that I was not pleased with the customer service suggestion for correcting the mistake of Carolina Cookie. Mr. Smith said that he was aware of the matter and proceeded to delegate blame on my behalf for ordering cookies in bags without checking the order before leaving, that the bags are not "suitable" for gifting in that manner if I was not purchasing their containers. It sure is a shame that I have found a product that I believe is wonderful, I also think they charge a price that makes it worth their while to appreciate the customers in which support their business. It was absolutely an error on behalf of Carolina Cookie and I'm beyond disappointed with correction and concern of this matter. I would not recommend this company for accurate production and customer service quality.
