Very Cool Place with Hiking Trail
By ,
My g/f & I went last year in November which was a bit chilly for Floridians. You can drive to the top (which is kinda scary one lane road one way only!) and see a wonderful stone tower which you can walk up to see the beautiful views of the Smoky Mountains. Part of the Appalchian Trail runs through here and is a great hike. We stayed in a town called Otto which is close by and had a wonderful time just driving around the areas and hiking different trails. Warm or cold this is definately a place to visit young or old. The mountains are way better than the flat lands of Florida. D. Mandrell Age-30 Daytona Beach, Florida

Beautiful
By ,
The summit of Wayah Bald is spectacular. Been there many times, you can drive right to the top. The scenery is impressive, and at over 5,000 feet up, weather is nice and cool, even in July, which is usually when we go. Did go once on Thanksgiving Day, it was 20 degrees, but, still beautiful.
