Funny
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/23/10
Funny. If your worried about a little dirt then maybe you shouldn't be climbing in THE FIRST PLACE. Also, real climbers don't down each other. Climbing is about having fun and accomplishing personal goals. The way you present yourself says a lot about the crowd at Redpoint.

More fun each time I go
By Lawrence Quinnett, 7/23/10
I love this place! There are so many routes for both climbing and bouldering. The instructors are really helpful and personable and the rates are very reasonable. People who are worried about dirt or sweat probably shouldn't climb here, but then again, they probably shouldn't be climbing in the first place.

Highly Recommended
By George H, 9/10/09
Pros: - Friendly family oriented atmosphere. - Good pricing. - Excellent service Cons: - Can get crowded at times. If you don't like gyms that utilize loose chalk you wont like this place the chalk can get thick at times hence dirt in the nose, but in all I love this place and would recommend it to anyone. The only place in Fayetteville with CERTIFIED route setters that know what they are doing. More of a climbing dedicated atmosphere as well here lots of regulars that are always willing to encourage and help people with their climbing, not to mention the technique classes are absolutely amazing.

Gonna go back
By Jamie, 6/4/09
Just went to the Climbing place for the first time. I've been climbing for 4 years now, and this is the largest gym I've ever been to. However the owners were extremely nice and helpful. I actually had made the trip to visit their proshop because I was looking for a more technical shoe. I got an awesome deal on a pair of Scarpas. I plan on bringing my family there sometime in the future. The only things that I would say I didn't care for was the tire tread pit around the bouldering area. It really isn't that big of a deal, but I personally don't care for it, it makes falling feel a little shaking when you land on your feet. Also it is really hot in there during the summer. But neither of those reasons are big enough to stay away :D. Had a great experience.

Excellent!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/13/08
Great place. To those who read these reviews, a note or two is in order. Climbing can be a dirty event, many places use regrind...shredded tires for padding, much like at playgrounds. Hence the dirt and smell referenced in one review. The location of the Climbing Place is an old warehouse in downtown Fayetteville, so it's not pretty, get over it. Often the staff gets busy, like any business. They are young, enthusiastic climbers who care, so give 'em a break if they get swamped with birthday parties and youth groups.

Great Place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/28/08
Excellent facility. Knowledgable, helpful and friendly staff. Great family place. Avoid Red Point, been to Red Point and the "staff" of 3 could not give a belay class as there weren't "enough staff available"...how do you not have enough staff available to do what yout business claims to do? Anyway...high 5s to The Climbing Place...keep up the great work.

Great family place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/13/08
This is a true family place! Once you get to know the staff here, you will feel like a part of the family. Travis Horn, Gwendolyn, Alex, Adam and Mr. P and Mrs. P are committed to climbing and will do everything possible to help you learn to climb! This is great exercise for the whole family. The Pinkstons do everything they can to make the sport affordable for families.

absolutely horrible
By Mary Burton, 3/9/08
From the moment that me and my family walked into the Climbing Place, we were hit with warm, pungent smell that stayed with us well into the evening when we found black deposits in our mucas. Overall the environment is uninviting, unsafe, and extremely dirty. i would not recomend taking anyone that i cared about to this place, YUCK!
