Nice and quiet
By goooofygoooober, 06/19/09
My wife and I went here to see Sin Nombre. It was an excellent movie. The theatre is nice and small and very quiet. It was free of loud packs of teenagers. I think they discourage that sort of crowd. There are two theatre rooms at the Cameo. We've only been to the one on the second floor. The seats were plush and very comfortable.

You guys ROCK!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/03/08
There was nothing NOT to like about the Cameo. It has been decorated wonderfully. The atmospshere you can't beat. The friendly service is awesome. The imported beer and wine is unique to be able to purchase. I like that it is small, quaint. If you have to go to the bathroom, the speakers are on in the bathroom, so you can still hear the movie. You guys ROCK!

Amazing

The Cameo is the absolute best theatre I have ever been to. The decor is lovely and the staff are very friendly. For ambiance, they play music that is normally good, but at the least, it's never abraisive or annoying. There are no commercials before shows, and only a few previews. The snacks are wonderful. You have the traditional pop corn, soda, and common candies, with the option of gourmet candies, wine, beer, and aparently ice cream. Both theatres are lovely, but the smller theatre upstairs is a touch nicer. I often drive from Chapel Hill to see the more important films at the Cameo. It is perfect for a date or a relaxing evening.

this really is the best place in which i have ever seen a movie. not only does this theatre exhibit great movies that otherwise would not be shown in this area, you can order a beer or ice cream to boot. the upstairs loge is highly recommended.

It is a wonderful venue for watching movies. In addition to the downstairs main theatre there is an intimate upstairs viewing area.
