Top of the Hill Restaurant & Brewery, Chapel Hill

Every time I have been to Top of the Hill I have had an excellent experience. I went there for two proms and they have the BEST chicken breast fettucine alfredo!!!

My husband and I enjoy going to Top of the Hill. We enjoy the location, the atmosphere, the food and definately the beer. In the past 3 years we have only had one time that the service wasn't excellent. The staff knows their menu (and their beers) and are helpful. Recommend that you sample the different beers the first time you go. Great place to go after Tarheel games to meet friends and friendly foes.

This restaurant/brewpub is so utterly pretentious it boggles the mind. Beer is good, but man cannot live by beer alone (I've tried, and it doesn't work). Half of the stuff on the menu no self-respecting college kid would eat unless they were trying to impress somebody. Wasabi Mashed Potatoes? What happened? Did they run out of garlic one night and decide "Hey! Let's use wasabi! It's tres chic!" Food was lackluster at these prices. Service was OK. Maybe its a beer thing, I dunno.

My husband and I love going to Top of the Hill. The atmosphere is great. I have never had a complaint with the service or the food. We take family and friends there when they come to visit. Top of the Hill is by far the best restraunt in Chapel Hill.
