Rolling Thunder River Company, Bryson City

These guys were awesome - funny, enthusiastic and knowledgeable of the river. We rafted down with our guide Allen who was absolutely awesome - had us cracking up laughing the entire ride down with jokes. Even the safety lesson and the shuttle ride to the top of the river was funny. Once on the river we saw several other rafting companies. The other companies would not let their boats 'bump' into rocks, do spins, 'surf' the tide, etc. It was as if they were scared to let their customers have the most fun possible & seemed to take the path of least resistance. At our request, Allen (our guide) made the trip as entertaining as possible. At one point in the trip down, we stopped and jumped off of a large rock into the river. The 11 year old with us thought it was the coolest thing ever. Towards the end of the trip, my wife fell out of the boat during a rapid. Allen was a true professional and put the joking aside to quickly rescue her back into the boat. Before we departed to the river - We had to wait a few minutes of about 10 people who were late. It wasn't even a big deal to us, but Rolling Thunder gave us a complementary CD with some awesome pictures on it to make up for us being late. We have ZERO complaints - Thanks again to Rolling Thunder and Allen for an awesome and memorable day!

The Bricio's from Miami.I decided to bring my family to white water adventure and I was very happy to have chosen rolling thunder. We enjoyed Nantahala experience and we definetely used a guide. Our guide was "Taco". The ride was very safe and fun. Taco was great. Very polite, funny and very skilled. He made us feel very safe and confident. On the next day, we had planned a guided rafting through the Ocoee river. This was adrenaline and full of fun ride. Class 3/4 rapids. Our guides were Anthony Gomer and another guide from UF Gainesville rode in our raft. The ride was spetacular. The guides were simply great. They made this thrilling adventure very safe. My son rode in the front of the raft Bull riding style and we went through the Hell Hole and Power House. It was amazing. We will come back to do the double trouble. Highly recommend doing this with the family. We stayed in Bryson at the Microtel and found some nice places to eat. All the places close at 9 to 9:30 PM. Highly recommend Pasqualino's restaurant there. The chef is amazing and food was great. The mexican restaurant there Guayabitos was also pretty good. Terri Ingle OMG...if you have never tried white water rafting, you have to go to Rolling Thunder!!!! Talk about an adrenaline rush....its Awesome!!! The Nantahalla has class 1,2, and 3 rapids, so you can take your kids with you. I guarantee that your safety and well being during the trip is top priority to Rolling Thunder River Company. There are several rafting companies on the Nantahalla, but you will find that you are paying for hoopla, but not at the Rolling Thunder River Company!. They are top of the line in every way, and anyone can afford whitewater rafting at the Rolling Thunder River Company. The staff and river guides are very knowledgable about what they do, and trust me, Boomer(my guide) made it one of the most incredible experiences of my life!!! YOU'VE GOT TO TRY THIS!!!!!

i loved how friendly everyone was..we were put w a trainy but he was still awesome...goood job taco...we were his first full load.

We had a group of 13 and you can only imagine how hard it is to please everyone!! Well I have to say we ALL loved it. The guides were great and not only made us laugh but knew alot of interesting facts about the river. Would recommend the Rolling Thunder River Co to anyone, and we plan to go back next summer. Thanks so much to everyone.

We took two of our Grand Children to the N.C. location and had the time of our lives. The service was outstanding and the personnel exceptional. They were friendly, gracious and knowledgeable. Our guide, "Boomer" did and a superior job and gave us a ride beyond our expectations. The product was more than worth its value and the prices in the display area were reasonable and a bargain. We loved the pictures and I especially liked it when my wife fell out of the raft! We will be back and would even like to try the stronger rapids in Tenn. There was fog on some parts of the river and it took your breath away at the beauty. I'll bet the fall will be breath taking. Can't think of anything that would have made the day any better. I reserved a guide assisted raft trip with RTRC. They acted as though they we're doing us a favor by allowing us to raft with them. 3rd time I've been down the Nantahala and they tried to force a guide in our raft when we did not want one in the raft and was not what we reserved 2 weeks prior. Told me I had no other option. When I stated I had the option of taking my business else where they said they would not refund my money. All said and done with, the problem was that they did not want to load a separate small boat for the guide because another boat did not want a guide as well. Guides did not stop once so my kids could enjoy a swim in the river along the float. One guide even stated how fast we made it down the river. Every other company had their groups pulled over to the side allowing them to enjoy a swim. The people inside were no better...short and rude. I own a business would fire any employee if they were treated my customers as my family and I were treated. Find another rafting company

RTRC is awesome! We took our group of Cadetter/Senior Girl Scouts and they had a blast! Never rafted? No worries. We rafted all day on the Ocoee and had 3 first time rafters who can't wait to go back. See you next year RTRC!!!
