I live near this zoo and I buy a membership every year. I pay about $60 and I get to bring my kids grandma, my hubby, and up to 8 kids. And I get 10% off in the gift store with the membership, oh and a free tshirt. It is a great zoo, we go once a week and it never gets old. Everytime we go is like the first time for my kids. We always bring a picnic lunch and eat at one of the picnic tables. It is a great family day, and we never have to pay so that makes it even when we don't really have the money. There are so many awesome animals out all the time and they just got the new monkey play exhibit, which the kids love. And they are working on a new exhibit for the elephants. A few times this summer they have been walking the elephants around and my kids have gotten to pet them and they just love that. The staff is super friendly and always happy to talk to you about the animals and answer any questions. It is a great place!
The zoo was amazing! Although the Elephants Area and the Monkey House was off limits for construction me and my mother had an exellent time. The Jungle Cafe had amazing food! And the gift shop inside had beautiful high quality items for a very low price. Exellent prices! I'm heading back up as soon as I can :D
I think that kids find this zoo amazing, but grownups are left feeling like thats all? I enjoyed the mokey house and the kids loved that the monkeys were outside playing like them. I found that the Burger King prices there were way to inflated, 4.39 for a Kids Meal? Other than that, it was ok
So I don't know what that other person was talking about. The prices are great! 4 bucks for kids 15 and under? 6 bucks for adults? How is that pricey?
I loved it at the zoo. It was clean and well taken care of and all the animals seemed content. The bird sancuary was a blast!
I would def recommend a day trip to the zoo. No matter what age, you will enjoy it!
I think the zoo is getting too pricey. This is supposed to be for the kids to enjoy, not the parents to go poor. I also think the Brew at the zoo is in poor taste. I never would have thought that the zoo would do something like this.
