I had a great time going to the Crystal Spa. The facial expert did a number on my face (extracting), however, she was very nice.
I chose the Crystal Experience and although quick -- I prefer the Korean style of a spa (an all day event and much cheaper), it was refreshing. Also, after all the purchases after my Crystal Spa experience the bill came to approximately $300.
It is so nice to go there. Just RELAX be happy and keep a smile on your face. The baths there are so nice. I wish I could get a bath all the time there. You walk in to nice people and that is what business is all about! You just have to go there.
This spa is greaaaaaaattt!! Wow i went in not knowing what to expect, mainly because i have never had a massage before. To my surprise it was excellent. The people are great the service is ever better. I just want to personally thank the whole Crystal Spa staff.. THANK YOU !
A friend and I recently went to this spa and loved it. We both had the sauna, mineral bath and then I had a massage while she had a facial. We were treated wonderfully. A sweet young lady, Amanda, prepared our rooms and told us what to do. My masseuse was Lindsay and I would love to more up there just to be able to go to her freaquently. I was very relaxed and enjoyed it. My friend had Katarina for her facial and also was very positive about her experience. I don't know why anyone would complain about this spa. We highly recommend it.
I had a massage, bath and brazilian wax.
The bath was literally just luke warm water in a tub... which turned cold almost instantly and I had to sit in it for 30 minutes.
The massage was awful. The masseuse seemed to lack training and at one point was just pushing my back, in a jerking motion. Hands down worst massage I have ever received... not just professionally either. I have had friends with no training give better massages.
The waxing was ok though the woman was a bit rushed and careless. I don't have anything to compare this to, as it was my first time. Needless to say, I wouldn't return.
Part of me wanted to write a bad review so it would be easier to make an appointment, but I couldn't. Saratoga Springs has many places for massages, but they all seem a little medicinal. At Crystal Spa you start relaxing the minute you walk through the door. I suggest the sauna w/ lemon water to start. Go for an hour massage, if you only do a half an hour, you spend most of that time wishing it was longer. Request Steve...he's awesome. Enjoy.
Being from Saratoga visitors often have heard of crystal spa and give me gift certificates there for hostess gifts. PLEASE NO MORE GIFTS I have yet to have a nice treatment there. All of the massages are VERY amateur. There are so many better massages to be had in Saratoga, shop around and ask people for quality not notability in the name.
Do Not Leave Saratoga Springs Without Visiting the Crystal Spa!
By A Yahoo Contributor, 7/11/06
On the same July 10th Monday that my husband and I were set to leave Saratoga Springs, I, at the last minute, decided that I had to experience a mineral bath (Saratoga Springs is famous for it's mineral water, after all). I called the Crystal Spa at 8:30 a.m. and was able to book a 12:00 noon apppointment for a two-hour package that very afternoon! The service was amazing--I didn't have to wait, everyone I made contact with was professional and pleasant, and the value for the services I received was like nothing I have ever experienced before at any salon or spa (only $98 for a sauna, mineral bath, and hour-long massage--amazing). Connie, my lovely and attentive bath attendant, was right about Steve--the man does indeed have "golden hands"! If ever we are in Saratoga Springs again, I will definitely be returning to the Crystal Spa.
