We loved it!

We recently threw a surprise birthday celebration for my wife's 40th. We filled the Sam Patch with friends and family, young and old. It was a real hit! To say everyone enjoyed it would be an understatement. The ride was smooth and quiet. Captain Taiy (sp?) was a genuinely pleasant and welcoming host which only added to an already great experience. The buffet dinner was beginning to be served as we entered the return trip through the Pittsford lock. We took the lock down 25 feet to the next level in the Erie Canal, which we had gone up a short time before. The Captain provided an interesting and informative narative of the history of the canal and locks, but he didn't over-do it, as so many tour guides tend to do. It was just right. The last hour of the 2.5 hour cruise was peaceful and relaxed, and we all soaked in the scenery and got caught up with each other's busy lives. The Sam Patch Dinner Cruise was a tremendously memorably good time, at an extremely reasonable price.
