Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/25/09
We travelled 60 miles to eat dinner for our anniversary. We knew the menu and saw that it was a little expensive, but expected a good meal. We were disapponted in the food and the service. When we entered the hostess was on her cell around the corner and when we left she was outside, again on her cell. The waitrress was dressed too casually--jeans and t-shirt, and didn't give us enough time to order. The food was marginally OK--considering the price of between 23 and 26 dollars, it just didn't measure up. I don't mind spending this amount of money on dinner, but look for quality. The vegetables were soggy and the food not hot. My husbands scallops were cool on the inside. I think the view would be lovely from the huge deck in the summer, but of course it is closed in November. I would not go back.

Bully Hill Revisited
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/30/08
I love this place. The view is spectacular the staff wonderful. The last time I was there was 10 years ago. Ten years ago - The food was great, the view was great, however the wine was not. Now - the wine is wonderful - what a difference a few years makes. I've visited many Vineyards from CA to OR to LI - this is the best - if you want to spend an afternoon, relax, eat well and enjoy wonderful wine.

A little slice of heaven

Quite possibly one of the most beautiful places on earth and a wonderful winery to boot. I love the staff, and Lillian and every one at Bully Hill.

What a wonderful afternoon
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/01/07
It was great. Our first trip to a winery with tasting. What a wonderful experience. Staff was very curteous. We also had lunch in the restaurant and it was absolutely delightful. The sights in this area are spectacular, who would have know this was in our own backyard, being a native of upstate New York.

Love This Place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/29/07
The scenery is beautiful and relaxed. The staff is great. Not stuffy or pretentious like some of the wineries in this area. Check out the restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Unforgettable!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/11/07
Bully Hill Vineyards is an absolute must-see if you're in the Finger Lakes region!! The enire property offers breath-taking views of pristine Keuka Lake. Visitors ought to devote an entire day or at least half a day to Bully Hill. The winery offers tours (30min, free) and tastings (30min, small fee); the tours are truly informative and explain the winemaking process and educate visitors about the life of the winery's founder--the intriguing artist Walter S. Taylor. Tastings are lighthearted and entertaining--these guys could be stand-up comedians!! Walter Taylor founded the first wine museum in the U.S. in 1972, which is still in open today and it's on Bully Hill property! Ask Paul Sprague, the museum's 'curator' about the Taylor family's fascinating history. Wines at Bully Hill are well-crafted and varied (they produce more than thirty types!!) and at a good value. The average cost for a bottle at the winery is around $7. Ms. Taylor is not only in charge of the winery today, she also runs a fabulous restaurant on-site that serves truly outstanding cuisine overlooking the lake. Bully Hill offers some of the best food on Keuka Lake and pairs their wines nicely with the food. Restaurant open for lunch and dinner during the summer season. Bully Hill also offer three gift shops on-site just steps from the restaurant, museum, tasting deck and wine shop. These shops are unique and definitely worth browsing. Groups, couples--even families would all enjoy a day at Bully Hill!

Tremendous!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/15/06
Our hosts and my wife and I toured the fabulous museum and had a wonderful lunch at the outside restaurant on a beautiful August day. The museum was most interesting and we could have toured it for another hour and still not taken in everything. The restaurant's food was exquisite and service was prompt and professional. A very pleasant experience. Highly recommended. 1st-time Finger Lakes visitor

Tastes Terrible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/23/06
The wine, you can call it that, is terrible. If you are a partier and a beer drinker I'll bet you will loooove this wine(sic).Very commercial place. They're making money so what do they care? L.T.

Going Back... Again... Again...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/29/06
A trip to New York is not complete without visiting Bully Hill. I visit often and encourage everyone going to the Finger Lakes to stop in and try some wine. The food is great too.
