We stopped in to buy a mask and snorkel. Super knowledgable staff, helpful, no attempt to get us to buy more than what we required.
They encouraged us to check we needed something before purchasing - AND had information on local snorkeling classes. They had it all.
My two children (13 & 14 ) wanted to investigate diving. We ended up going to Seguins. The customer service there is excellent. You know you are in the right place when they dont try to sell you the most expensive things, but the right things. They also had my kids take a "Discovering Diving" course .....no charge ....they did have to have some equipment. Just to see if they really liked it before I signed them up for the full certification. The instructors were fantastic, friendly, and really took their time with them.
I am sold on Seguins! As I see the other posts, I definitely wanted others researching Scuba in the Capital Region to know that these are top notch people. Gary Seguin purchased Diving Discovery in 2010 and named it Seguin Scuba Center......thanks Gary for making the investment! Thanks the Buffalines
. They share my passion for the deep. I travel for business and just bought my new gear from my local dive store. I wanted to get it wet and play with the new scuba toys. I am happy they allowed me to share the pool time with their class. I would recomend their shop to anyone who would like to learn the sport or just need a few diving tips....
I had a very bad experience at this scuba shop. In fact, I ended up paying them for work they never did just to get back my scuba equipment. I will never use this shop again and as such, I would not recommend it to others either. Its too bad, the diving world used to take care of each. The Band of Divers doesn't exist here.
