Nutty
By Peter K, 08/28/07
Never seen such finessing of the tastes of a nut till I came here. They take it in all directions sweet and salty. Overly cheerful giftshop lady made my head feel like it was going to explode, or maybe it was the nearby Trinity Site, who knows.

near White Sands
By ChrisB, 06/04/05
We were there over Memorial Day weekend 2005. The locals know about this little place. The staff is friendly and thry allow you to try their samples. They have a home made cherry cider that is fantastic. Very natural tasting and delicious - not to sweet. I brought back lots of pistachio gift bags as giftd for friends. They loved them all - lemon lime pistachios, chili pistachios and pistachio brittle. A great place to visit after a day at White Sands.

Awesome pistachio products
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/27/05
We go through Alamogordo each year on our way to Ruidoso and stop at their log cabin store. It is definitely unique in the desert. They make this pistachio brittle that is just mouth watering, the best. We like their people and one year the son was there and we had a great talk about their winery and orchards. Try their Pistachio Delight wine, awesome and they make it there.

Pistachio Tree Ranch, Alamogordo, NM
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/04
Each year I pass through Alamogordo and have always wanted to stop at one of the Pistachio Ranches to see how they are grown, etc. This year I insisted on stopping and was not disappointed. I received a lot of information about growing and marketing the flavorful nuts as well as the wonderful "taste-testing" I did. I love pistachio's but had no idea they could be prepared in so many different ways. Believe me, this stop is well worth the time you will spend sampling, browsing through the gift shop and eating that wonderful pistachio ice-cream cone. Don't miss it!
