Big Bend State Park, Laughlin

Date of stay: 9/22/12 The facility is very nice; they do have showers and even free firewood. That being said there is no way on earth I’d ever come back to Big Bend Campground. Next to us was a group of 15-20 people who got really drunk, they were loud and blaring the radio until 4:30am. When I went over at 1:00am and politely asked they tone it down a bit, it just incited them to get even louder and more obnoxious. The park is a good ways from any sort of civilization and being that there are no park rangers on site. If you choose to go I’d have the number to local police or sheriff on hand to call. My trip was supposed to be about getting back to nature, instead I ended up losing almost two days of vacation. Enjoy the park during the day and if you’re willing to spend an extra $5.00 go to the Bayshore Inn is just up the street about two miles.

This has got to be the Best secret in Nevada. Beautifull full hook up campground with hardly anyone in it! Quiet, serene. Full, clean showers and bathrooms. And the Price is comparable to others in the area. You gotta see this!

If you like boating, sunbathing and Trout Fishing, Big Bend is the place to go. We have been there a number of times and enjoyed it each and every time. There is no tent camping but an air mat or hammock is all that is needed. Very few bothersome bugs and there are bunnies, roadrunners, ducks and a number of birds to watch if you are not into fishing or playing in the water. The people who go there are friendly and willing to help out if needed (boat trouble). Not to far from the hotels if you get to much sun while playing there. They have clean bathrooms that have flushing tolits and also running water in different spots. If you plan on going to Laughlin don't forget to stop at Big Bend State Park you won't regret it.
