Anthem Country Club, Henderson

I really wanted to enjoy my round here. I'm sorry if the title of my review is somewhat caustic, but it rings true. The truth of the matter here is that this country club is run by a young mgmt staff that aren't seasoned enough to know how to treat people properly. The golf course itself was in playable shape with minor turf disease and regular play damage, but it was interesting withthe views and terrain. I wasn't impressed with the restaurant, nor the pro shop. The complete experience seemed a little too low of rent for what is touted as a premier country club. What this place needs is a more mature team making the day to day decisions with a proper mindset for how to treat its members.

Played here in 08 and 09 and the course played so well. Was so lovely. Just came back again and what a change. The course was in rough shape. The management of the club was in even rougher shape. Gone were the good people that made Anthem a real course. Personal service? Nope. Gone are the people that cared. Replaced by young, inexperienced, impersonal, see-through glad handers that are just there for a buck. Won't be back until it goes under and is purchased by an investment corp. in 2013.

Anthem country club is probably one of the best courses I've played in my life. The greens were super tough, but as challenging as any enthusiast would like. The course was in perfect shape, my hat is off to the greens keepers. The pro shop staff was super dismissing when we arrived though. No matter what the question we were pushed aside, and they acted like all they wanted from us was for us to go to the tee. The outside staff on the other hand was very helpful with any questions that we had, they were ver cordial and quite humorous. I dropped a large casino chip on the ground and picked it up, just then one of the outside guys, I don't remember his name but he was a bigger guy, picked one up from under the golf cart and handed it to me. It was very honest of him. All in all I loved my trip, the food, and my round at Anthem country club.

Heard about this course for quite some time. Finally got a chance to check it out through a member. Great course. Good time. The food in the restaurant was superb, and the view of the Strip was great. I have to agree with some of the other reviews. What was bad was the service from the parking lot to the tee. Their staff were quite rude and somewhat rough getting the bags to the playing area. The guy that helped us was an old man (aren't the clubs boys supposed to be teens or young guys?) and he was ridiculous. We were told that we had to pay $10 after we finished our round, to get our clubs back to our trunk. Aside from the bad club drop staff, I would play there again, but refuse any assistance from the guys outside.

What an awesome experience!! The course was challenging but very fair. The course conditions were some of the best I have ever experienced (I have played a lot of great courses) and the greens were so fast and smooth. There are several holes that have great views of the Strip and I could only imagine how great it would be seeing it at night with all the lights. We had lunch after our round and the food and service was great. Everyone there was so nice and the guys in the proshop were very helpful. I can't wait to get back and play it the next time I am in town!!!

Just did a golf outing here, and loved the course. Hats off to the greenskeepers. Great views of Vegas and some really nice homes. Good job by Anthem corporate (Mr. Darlin) of taking care of us all. Everyone really loved it. The only negative I can say is the "entitlement attitude" of the young men that cleaned our clubs and loaded our golf carts for play. I was outright asked for a $20 tip after our round. The little guy actually said it was a "standard gratuity." That alone put a bad taste in my mouth. I would play Anthem again, but I wouldn't let the guys touch my clubs. Annoying.

i think that every time i go in the waterfalls relief the stress its nice to see grass and lakes with birds once in awhile
