Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Missoula

Loved the place. A lot of informative displays and videos. Great for the kids. Plus it is free. A must stop attraction. They are is process of building one in Pennsylvania right now so keep that in mind when back east.

I liked the scenic views. The whole family would enjoy it. I would visit it in the fall it was gorgous.The overall experience was kind of cool there was lots to see and do.

The Elk Country Visitor Center provided a fantastic opportunity to spend some time learning about the heritage of hunting and the legacy of conservation. This is a must-see for people of all ages. Kids were enjoying the hands-on features and adults were soaking in the well-written displays. Plenty of shopping opportunity, too! We'll be going back, that's for sure!

There was everything to like at the new visitor center of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation! If you're interested in wildlife and conservation this should be on your Places to See list. Definitely bring the kids.

1/5/07: We had the opportunity to tour the elk foundation in July 2006 and were very impressed. We will go back again this year while in Missoula. Really beautiful displays of the animals of that area.
