Rubbish
This Museum is housed in a very attractive 3-story building, grounds well kept and looks appealing. I drove by it dozens of times thinking 'I would really like to check it out...'
That being said, I wish I had just stuck to admiring the landscaping. Once inside, there were collections from a whopping 5 artists...the first consisted of about 100 or so close-up high-res photos of moths. The next was a room of half-wit poems combined with a few decent pieces of art. The third collection was a room full of tree branches that some waterhead decided to decorate with junk to look like people (not kidding). The next gallery was a room of black and white photos with an old-west theme; you know, the top of a barn door, a barbed wire fence...[yawn]. The final collection, the only one on the second floor, consisted of mixed media pieces that were pretty interesting.
That's it. Nothing on the third floor. Also, the interior temperature was in the 80's. BOTTOM LINE: I didn't expect much from an art museum in the middle of Montana, and I got even less.
