I took my friend here for her birthday for the first time. She ordered a Spinach & Feta Quiche. 1/4 of our meal eaten, she finds a head of a beetle the size of a dime. We were sickened by it and did not finish our meal. The manager or owner proclaimed how they do not have bugs and that they have the cleanest kitchen in St. Charles. Did not apoligize. Then told us to pay for our meal that we did not finish. We walked out without paying, we were sicken! Bad customer service and high level of arrogance. I'll NEVER go back again because of this manager's/owner's attitude. I kindly tipped the waitress as it was'nt her fault.
This cafe' from it's beginnings a short distance down the street has managed to improve. The only problem can be finding a seat! You really can't go wrong with any selection on their menu. I don't think they have ever had anything strange or medeocre. Okay some may call quichie strange. It's just good food! I do love their salads. Ingredents are fresh. The soups can't be beat either. Kick an old lady out of the way and tell them Patrick sent you!
