harassment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/5/11
went to to get nachos at the concession stand, dropped them and turned around to get some napkins to clean the hot cheese off my hands someone was coming out the door and i almost ran into it, next thing i knew the jasper co. police that work there on the weekends started harassing me asking if i was drunk, on drugs, smoking pot, i told them no, showed them where i was parked , they kept detaining me, i told them they could give me a breath test, i kept shining their light in my eyes, they asked if i had a head injury, i said no, they asked why are you so defensive i said your accusing me of something i havent done. I said i needed to have my wife drive. This was very embarassing. I complained to the owner, i told him i would probably never go there again, as i walked off the owner and the cop shrugged their shoulders and laughed. My wife and i left, and yes i drove. I will never go to this drive-in again. As we were leaving a jasper co. sherriff was on the road, and no he did not stop me.

Coasr 2 coast 2010 on Rt. 66
By James, 9/15/10
On May 8 2010 on a trip down Rt. 66 I arrivewd at Rt. 66 Drive In just minutes before the movie started. Pulling a camper I asked when buying a ticket if anyone knew of a place where I could open up the camper for the night. Surprisingly my son and I were offered a place to set up for the night . The owner was a very nice man, very proud of his theatre and chatted with us for some time. The movie experience was great and so was the camping experience. We were making memories that we will never forget. Thanks a million. Pictures posted on facebook at coast2coast2010. Trip was in a 1950 Willys Jeepster. 8000 mises.

Great Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/19/08
This is a great place to see two current movies with the entire family without that "just robbed" feeling you get from normal, overpriced movie theaters. The movies are normally family oriented, and lots of fun for everyone. This is the way I remember the drive-in being when I was a kid. They still have a playground and they normally draw a pretty good crowd. Try it out. It is worth the drive to Carthage.

Family BLAST!
By Gerrie, 4/29/06
I remember all too well when my family would take me, as a child, to a drive-in, near St. Louis. Having moved to Carthage recently, I decided to take my own children to see if maybe they would enjoy is as much as I did, and guess what? THEY LOVED IT! We set up a little tent next to our car along with blankets and things for my two children, ages 11 and 6. And let me tell you, I have NEVER seen my kids have so much fun. They even asked if we could do it every weekend! And with these prices.. I have absolutely no reason to say no!

Take your lawn chair, open Fri, Sat, Sunday,
By allstoppedup, 7/12/05
Its a Drive-In showing recent releases. Take the kids and relax, get a hotdog at the concession stand. This is how it used to be all over. Kids running all over the playground before the show starts.

Never had a greater time!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/14/05
I loved the Family Friendly atmosphere and the way it was restored to give it a 50's feel. It is most definitely worth the time and money.
