Art and Soul of the South just bought their own building at 1312 Washington Street (just one store down from their old address). The same great, original merchandise they had in their old store, is now better displayed -- plus many more items from local artists. They also ship anywhere in USA

An enjoyable shopping experience begins with a friendly/positive environment. Also, my store of choice has to be extensive in its item selections. Upon entering Art and Soul of the South, I become a "kid in the candy shop"--the visual is awesome and the quality outstanding! Regina & Joe Gailani--along with their professinal staff--offer creative, handsome, affordable and entertaining ways to not only decorate your home, but also to acquire exquisite and uniquely owner designed/created jewelry. That does it for me! The short drive to historical Vicksburg and "a must" visit to Art and Soul...make a very good day for anyone.

The atmosphere is charmingly eclectic, a mixture of Old South architecture, furniture, and objects with a new artistic flair. Furniture, salvage, and hand-made jewelry are very reasonably priced. Staff very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The shop is located close to other furniture and gift shops and restaurants. I have attended jewelry-making classes at the shop and found them extremely enjoyable and relaxing, and in the end you have a piece of jewelry for yourself or to give as a gift. This shop is definitely one to visit while in Vicksburg.
