This is a very old Episcopal church, very small with a great college crowd. Its also casual, no nice clothes required. AND...they have a home-cooked dinner after the 5:30 service for anyone who wants to come. Also, the youth program is fun to help out with on Wednesdays.
My husband and I entered the church on a Wednesday night healing service in June of this year. Imediately we were greeted by two members who asked us if we were new to the area or we just visiting.
When we told them that we were thinking of moving to the area, they genuinely seemed very pleased.
During the short service, at least 10 members came to talk with us and even invited us to dinner that evening. Father Ollie also invited us to dinner and made us feel very welcomed.
The church members helped us to make our decision; we bought land and plan to move to Oxford sometime in the coming Spring.
Sincerely, Cheryl and Tom Wason
