Hattieburg Zoo at Kamper Park, Hattiesburg

We visited with our children (7 and 2 yrs). This is a wonderful little zoo with lots to offer. All of the staff were VERY friendly and knowledgeable. We spent almost 2 hours there and enjoyed every minute.

This is a very sweet little zoo. Well kept, shady, clean and small. They desperately need an updated website...I think that would help a lot. We were unaware that there was a splash park there and would have been prepared to let our toddler go nuts if we had. If we ever return to Hattiesburg, we will drop by!

After seeing an episode of Dora Explorer, my daughter was extremely excited about seeing the Jaguar and we did. The stroll took about an hour. It is a Zoo. We saw animals, rode the train, & the carousel. We spent about $20, $2 to get in and the train and carousel were about $2 too. The park was an added bonus to tire her out before going to the zoo. It is not a big zoo but it did not have dogs and cats like some zoos I have seen. Check it out. We are going back before we leave.

We loved the zoo! It needs some TLC. When riding the train you see some areas that need some maintaining. But you can't beat the price and the staff are wonderful! Our kids love going to the zoo and then to the park next door for a picnic! I would rather go to the Audubon Zoo in N.O., but with the price of gas, the driving distance is the same for us either way and the price of the zoo is what makes the difference! This zoo is so much more affordable! I hope this zoo gets some much needed funds to repair and revamp their little zoo! The animals need it and deserve it!

The Zoo was way too small, and they let animals roam around the zoo. And don't let you get lids, straws, or spoons. My shirt was stained because of that.

Really enjoyed this Zoo. It is only around 12 acres but has some really nice exhibits and most of the animals are very visible. A great place to stop and take a break with the kids on longer drives.

Just block from home, we love the walk there and the zoo. The zoo keepers there work hard to make the animals feel at nature/home. We love it there and the cost is great!!

This is a great place.......We went today and although it is smaller than others we have been to, it was quite an enjoyable day. By the time it got too hot we were finished and after a nice train ride and a carousel ride we went to the gift shop. The prices are fabulous. Took 3 kids for the day and after going to McDonald's I got away with only spending about $50.00. Not many places are available for such a fun filled day at such a bargain.

This is a very small zoo but we enjoyed it. It wasn't crowded and the price is unbeatable. Now I wouldn't plan a trip to this zoo if you live outside the area. Your drive might be longer than your actual time in the park. It took us less than an hour to see all of the animals!

I never went but this site makes me wanna go to the zoo, but this site need to have more info!! I hope this helps
