Founded in 1992, Saint Croix Vineyards has grown to become one of Minnesota's largest and best known wineries. Owners Paul Quast and Peter Hemstad invite you to stop out, try their wines, and take a stroll through the picturesque vineyards. The rustic tasting room in a restored century-old barn is open each year from mid-April to December 31st and is located just west of scenic Stillwater. You are also welcome to pack a picnic lunch and enjoy it at the picnic tables overlooking a quiet pond. Their award-winning Minnesota wines range from the dark, intense, oak-aged Frontenac to the semi-sweet Vignoles, reminiscent of a fine German Riesling.

Would like to try again

We went at the height of the apple harvest,bad timing. It was over-crowded, not all the wines were available for tasting,the tasting area had too many children running around.The wines we did try were very nice and I will go back, just not during apple harvest.Even with the large crowds, the staff did an excellent job.

Absolutely Awesome

Wine tasting daily! Need I say more? The wine is spectacular. They also have a great store with gifts and such. I could have spent a bundle. Take the kids to the apple orchard next door and then get some wine. AWESOME!
