Vista Fleet Excursions, Duluth

Horrid! Not only is this one of the dullest tourist boat cruises I've ever been on, but the staff is incompetent. They are uncoordinated among themselves and unable to give passengers accurate information about boarding times and logistics. One of the adults in our party was told he could step off to buy a drink, then was left behind and not re-admitted, even though the boat was still tied to the dock. The staff was unsympathetic, rude and unable to think creatively. The trip itself is a tremendous disappointment, unless you draw a great deal of inspiration from grain elevators. The first 20 minutes is a pleasant view of the Lake Superior's natural beauty. However, the next hour is a painfully boring tour of the inner industrial harbor littered with rusted steel monstrosities that scar the coastline. While I appreciate the presence of industry and manufacturing, I came on vacation to see the beauty of the lake. Blech.

The service at the ticket counter was horrible. The first day I tried to buy tickets I stood at the counter for 10 minutes with no assistance. I had to find and employee wondering in the store to get information. All I was told is that they were sold out and to come back tomorrow. I was at the store early the next morning and stood at the counter again while two employees talked. There was a line behind me but they were in no rush. When they finally came to the counter they asked the person behind me if they needed help, like I wasn't at the counter. I asked to buy tickets and was told again they were sold out and I should have bought them last night. I would not recommend wasting your time on this attraction. Very disappointing!

Had some extra time on a sunny day and decided after many years of coming to Duluth to go out on the Vista Fleet. Our whole family enjoyed the Hour and 1/2 ride. It was very relazing and it was also very informative. Will go back again!

I have gone on several of the Vista Fleet cruises and they are very fun. Sit back, relax, and let the cool wind blow through your hair. The sights along the way are beautiful and there are some great photo opportunities. Overall a great experience.

We were on the Vista King excursion and we had a lot of fun. The guides seem to be very knowledgeable and we got to see lots of the harbor. The only down fall was the quality of the speaker system and the guides announciation. Depending on where the guide was at the time and where you sat, it was difficult to hear. That paired with the sing-song rythmn of the guide's voice, made it hard to follow at times.

I am a duluthian and even we like to see as much of the ore boats, ore docks, windmill docks, grain elevators so if you like those thing you must try the vista fleet

At times it was a little long...but very interesting, ocmfortable, food to eat for a price, lot of interesting dock and ships to see and hear about.

My husband and I went on the Vista Queen last evening for their dinner cruise. It was incredible! The atmosphere was intimate and elegant, the food wonderful and the boat had ammenities that I have not experienced on either of the other Vista boats. We felt special and the experience was one that made us want to tell all of our local friends to give this boat a try. Free parking, the condition of the boat as well as the superb service made this a memorable as well as relaxing experience. I would like to see the other 2 boats updated to this same level. We are proud to be Duluthians and will recommend this boat to our out of town friends. Mary Hallsten

I didn't dislike anything!!!! It had great food and adventures. I liked the atmosphere a lot. It made me feel like I could live there!!!!!! That cruise was, by far, the greatest one ever!!!!1

After a weekend dinner cruise aboard the Vista Fleet, I can't wait to go back! The prime rib was delicious, the narrated cruise on Lake Superior was very entertaining, and the staff was beyond accommodating! My family and I will now be taking annual trips to Duluth...and the Vista Fleet is a major reason why!
