Normandale Japanese Garden, Bloomington

Once you enter the garden, you completely forget that you are on a college campus. It feels like you are in Japan. There is some interesting history behind why the Narmandale Japanese Gardens were built and everything is very well preserved. The students are very respectful...if you see any at all. It's marked well with signs so that the garden is not hard to find at all. The gardens are a great place to go if you need some peace, or just to calm down in quiet from the world's hectic rush. The best time to visit is probably early spring so the you can see the cherry blossoms in bloom, but it's still beautiful year-round.
