Description

This family-owned animal park is the largest animal park in the state of Minnesota. Some of the highlights and features are animals such as lions, tigers and bears, (Oh my!) deer, a trout pond, and much more; a gift shop is also located on the site. Some of the larger animals are Camels and monkeys. Bring everyone out for an enjoyable day!

The BEST zoo ever!
By J, 2/10/09
Animal Land ROCKS! What an amazing place. We expected it to be a small petting zoo but they have more animals than most big zoos and you can actually see their animals. They have lions, tigers, bears (oh my), camels, kangaroos, lots of deer, leopards, cougars, monkeys, lemurs, elk, donkeys, llamas, goats, raccoons, skunks, fox, bunnies, porcupines, and dozens of other animals. There is a trout pond where you can feed the fish. They jump right out of the water to get the food. My kids loved getting splashed by the water. You can buy treats to feed the animals and that is the most fun. Some of the animals eat out of your hands and some have a little tube that you roll the food down and they pick it up at the bottom of the tube. All the animals liked the apples the best. There is an awesome gift shop with small animals and reptiles inside. The animals all look very healthy and happy and the staff there is friendly and helpful. There is a hilarious bulldog named Mugzy that greets visitors in the gift shop. She is thoroughly adorable, so ugly she's cute. We've been to lots of zoos across the country but this one is our new favorite!

By Pepperman, 7/25/08
It was great visiting at Animal Land, all kinds of animals, Loved Mugzy the English Bulldog.. Was ther the 3rd week in Jul of 2008, Took all kinds of photos. My boy also loved it and my wife. My boy loved feeding the milk bottles to the fawns. I will be coming back to see everything and Mugzy and the owner, she is very pleasant to talk with. Thanks Pepper Man

Better than a zoo!
By Coach H, 9/7/07
It was wonderful! Yes, it would be a terrific place for kids to go, but it's really for everybody! My boyfriend and I, who are 28 and 26 years old, went, and we loved it! The admission for adults I think is only $5.50, which is truly incredible. Some animals of course must be in cages, but where possible, animals roam freely, and visitors can roam freely with them! They have a whole lot of deer, including a group of fawns (one albino), and plenty of does and bucks (one albino!). There are so many other animals to see and interact with. For small prices, little treats can be purchased, and you can actually feed the animals, often directly! Everybody should go!

Relaxing Fun!
By Alexis, 6/6/05
This is a great place to take a child or two, or a first date! Most of the animals are kind, and don't bump you for food...although the mule needed some manners! The people that work there are kind, courteous, and answer questions. It is a relaxing time, and wonderful to be outside. There are no "animal smells". No one is too old to visit here!
