Star of Saugatuck Boat Cruises, Saugatuck

I'm representing the Star of Saugatuck with this posting. I recently did a search on Google and found that the Star is listed as 'pet friendly' on some sites. As much as the owners of the Star love animals, they are not allowed on the boat. As a Saugatuck local, I'll also take this opportunity to say that this cruise is really fun and informative. I like bringing out-of-town guests on it to orient them to the area.

My husband and I just rented the boat for drinks and food for after our wedding ceremony on 09/23/2011. The staff was amazing and so kind while working out all of the little details and when we got on the boat they were so helpful! We rented the entire boat for the sunset cruise and it was so beautiful. Everybody was commenting that they have never been to such a nice "reception". Even when it started raining, the view was still gorgeous. It was very romantic and I would recommend this to anyone. I can't wait to go back for a regular cruise before they close down for the season!

I rode on this cruise on my first visit to Saugatuck. I loved it and I am so excited to do this again! The lovely cruise invites you through the beautiful Kalamazoo River and into the exciting and gorgeous Lake Michigan. I strongly suggest choosing a good day to go because I got stuck on a rainy day and the top is very slippery.

Went on the Star today had an ok time. Then went Kayaking at down the way and while trying to bring the boats back to the boat launch the star staff yelled at us from their "Lord of the river" boat and harassed us to move out of their way. They were not even going out for one of their timed trips so we were in no way at risk or creating any kind of dangerous situation. Yet they had the audacity to belittle us and the helpful staff at the rental place. Expect to bow down to their every demand if you choose to go with this company.

The Star of Saugatuck has been a staple not only for tourists but for the locals as well. I grew up near Saugatuck and had several opportunities while growing up to enjoy the boat cruises. You always see something new and the sunset cruise is to die for! Marilyn and Bruce treat all of their visitors like family. I definitely recommend a visit!

This boat ride was so relaxing and informative. It's live naration gave us some interesting info about the area and gave us some great tips for things to do. Also we got to go out on the lake to watch the most beautiful sunset i have ever seen. My husband and i loved every minute and can't wait to go back
