Sturgeon River Pottery

I've been a bird enthusiast for over 30 years, and I can't wait to return to Sturgeon River Pottery each year while I visit Northern Michigan. They have a great selection of feeders, and fantastic houses constructed for specific species. Adding all of the other outdoor items, it's just a great place to visit and explore! We are lifelong seasonal residents to Petoskey/Harbor Springs and this is my favorite place. I love going in to their store to see the neat things they have and have been collecting the Andrews pottery for about 10 years. I have been a fan of pottery in general for a long time and they have the best selection of wonderful art of anywhere I've seen. A must see! Carl Thomas Toledo, OH

I just bought a bunch of Christmas gifts up there while we were up to do some skiing. They had such a cool collection of stuff, I found something for lots of people on my list. They wrapped all my stuff for free too. I wish I could upload a picture of the packages cause they looked so neat. I would recommend Sturgeon River as a fun visit if you're up Up North.

There was so much to choose from I had a hard time deciding! My only complaint is that you cannot buy online :( I would love to purchase a lot more of their stuff, but cannot make it back up north!

I love pottery and this store was heaven.There are so many choices and everything is beautiful. It is like a museum because looking at everything is as much fun as buying. The owners are also very friendly and enjoy sharing their store Unfortunately, I don't live closer, otherwise I would buy all of my gifts here.

This is a great little shop, Best in Petoskey!! We registared here for our wedding and recieved a lot of wonderful items. My husband continues to shop there for any special occassion. We buy gifts there for weddings, birthdays. The best part besides knowing the staff is they are always friendly and willing to help you find the right gift for who ever you are looking for. Also they are happy to wrap it so it looks great. Highly recommended!!!

This place was awesome. About once a year my family and I travel up to the area in search of the little shops and art studios. We have been doing this for about three years. Oddly enough, this was the first time we found this shop and WOW!! we were amazed. They had a large variety of unique items...Great for the outdoor/wildlife lover. They also had a large selection of specialty pottery and art items...all I can say is you should check this place out! Thier customer service was excellent...as a matter of fact, fathers day was coming up the next week and I decided to purchase something for my husband that was sleeping in the car. When I checked out they offered to "wrap" the item so he wouldn't be able to see what it was. They didn't just "wrap" the item they decorated it with a sprig of dried flowers and a ribbon. It was beautiful. You guys really know how to please the customer. I wish more shops were like yours! Thanks!

We stopped there on our last trip up to Harbor Springs. We had a great time. I bought a couple of their candles and a few pottery pieces. Alan (husband) bought a bird feeder that was beautiful cedar. I would definitely recommend it as a stop.

Sturgeon River is our favorite place to stop in Petoskey. I bought all 4 of my grandkids Petoskey stones there. They are right on the way into Petoskey so we go every time we're coming from Charlevoix. I also can't help but stop when I need a gift because I love their complementary gift wrapping. It's a good thing I liked Sturgen River so much. I registered for our wedding up there (my parents live on Walloon Lake) and I got about half of my gifts from there. Their pottery is terrific. I registered for three different potters stuff and got a very nice 8-person setting of the one I liked best. I got some terrific candles and a beautiful mirror. They were so helpful in helping me find neat stuff and wrap everything. John and my guests were all very glad we had registered. I would *highly* recommend registering there or at least shopping.
