Schuil's Coffee & Tea Shoppe, Grand Rapids

I am from the south and LOVE the deep DARK, DARK flavor coffee from New Orleans with Chichory! I came in and explained what I like and the guy helping me knew just what I needed. I tried his advice and WOW! I like it, It is the darkest coffee they handle and I love it. I liked the way the employee took time to listen and also chat with me, it is nice to be a valued customer. I appreicated also they take the time to tell you how to store your coffee for long lasting flavor, and gives you different grinds to best suit your type of coffee pot. Really, the best coffee I've ever had. Flavored coffee is especially a favorite there, although I don't like flavored coffees elsewhere because of the bitter aftertaste. Schuil's is wonderful!

I've been a customer at Schuil's for many years, and am impressed each time I go. Their shoppe is a rare find in W. Michigan or anywhere. Not only are they ready and happy to assist, I notice each time I go that customers are happy to be there too. I know I can count on the coffee to be fresh and genuinely high quality, you really can taste the difference. I enjoy trying some of the unusual ones they bring in. They have a welcoming little cafe' area too. Some Saturdays I just go to have a latte, relax, and watch the people come and go. Schuil's clearly values old-fashioned service . . . . a nice departure from the "canned" service out there. Thanks, and keep it up Schuil Coffee! You are loved!

I love this place! The coffee is the best, incredible variety and rare, personal service. A true gem, I'm glad someone recommended it to me.

Every year I come back to Grand Rapids to visit my family. I'm a teacher in Arizona, and nothing excites me more than visiting Schuil's Coffee & Tea Shoppe. The aroma, atmosphere, decadent coffees, and the amazing staff keep me coming back. My absolute favorite flavor is the Mackinac Island Fudge coffee. The last time I visited, I ended up packing 8 pounds of it in my suitcase. (What airport security thought, I'll never know!) I will tell you this, though, every morning I make myself a full pot of Mac-Fudge coffee and lug it to school. No disgruntled parent, misbehaving 5th grader, or crazed day can ruin my moment with my coffee. It happily takes me back to Mac Island, my childhood playground, and my sweet hometown in Michigan. Does it sound like I "need to get a life?" Maybe, but it's the little things in life that make the world go round, and this coffee helps me get through each day. Schuil's coffee just happens to be this teacher's pet!

They have the best coffee anywhere. They have more different flavors to choose from than anywhere I have ever been. Definately recommended to anyone who drinks coffee!

It's back, Holiday Blend! If you've been to Schuil Coffee, you know how good it is, if you haven't, run... don't walk! I lived in Grand Rapids for years, moved to Minneapolis, and just moved back. My first stop-Schuil Coffee. They have the best coffee in town, the friendliest staff, and fantastic prices! When I lived in MN, I used their mail order service, because hey, I had to have my fix! They roast the coffee on sight, and I get the best possible tasting cup every time. Did I mention Holiday Blend???

As an on the road sales person I travel all over West Michigan and the country! In my travels I have sought out my daily coffee in many, many shops (both the national chains and more locally grown). None, meet the quality of the coffee or the experience I get when I go to Schuil. Their staff knows me and greets me like an old friend. The quality of every cup I have purchased there has been top notch. I recently turned my family on to their multiple flavors and beans and now they travel many miles from the lakeshore of Michigan to purchase Schuil Coffee. Go there....be amazed!

I moved from Grand Rapids 7 years ago and found myself needing monthly orders shipped to my new home. I flew back earlier this year for a conference and it was literally the FIRST stop I made after the airport. The shop is small and it isn't always easy to get parking, but worth the effort. The staff are very helpful and patient. Their prices on the custom roasts and flavors and the quality can't be beat! Small bags were the requested souvineers for my coworkers and loved ones.

If you live in West Michigan and you've never taken the time to visit this Shoppe, you're really missing out! Great products, really good, fresh coffee. They roast it right there. I love their prices too. The workers were very friendly and helpful. The young man who waited on me didn't have all the answers himself, but he promptly asked another person who worked there who did know. I can't say enough good things about this place - go there and experience it yourself!
